The Bangladesh Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported more than 7,800 dengue fever hospitalizations during the past week, bringing the country total for 2024 to 71,056.
In addition, 40 deaths were also reported, bringing the death tally to 350 since the beginning of the year.
From January 1 to November 9, 15,241 cases were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), followed by 13,312 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 12,033 in Chittagong.

The DGHS recorded 321,179 dengue cases and 1705 deaths in 2023, making it the most active and deadliest year on record.
The most active month this year has been October with more than 30,000 cases. In November to date, more than 9,000 cases have been reported.
