Measles
In a follow-up on the measles epidemic in Bangladesh, The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Dhaka reports Sunday that after reporting an additional 1,221 cases in the past 24 hours, since March 15, 79,012 total measles cases, of which 9,686 are confirmed have been recorded.
The death toll now stands at 620, which includes 91 from measles confirmed cases.
Dengue fever
Dengue infections are rising across the country ahead of the monsoon season, raising concerns among health experts and hospital authorities already dealing with a measles outbreak.
Concerning dengue fever in 2026, the DGHS reports a cumulative 3,604 total dengue fever cases and six deaths after reporting 431 cases and one death this past week.

Divisions reporting the most cases include Barishal (869), Chattogram (803) and DSCC (510).
So far in June, 407 dengue cases have been reported. In all of May, 714 cases were reported.
