As of June 22nd, the Minas Gerais Health Department registered 64,304 probable dengue fever cases. Of this total, 36,517 cases were confirmed for the disease, and there are 39 deaths under investigation. To date, there are 32 confirmed deaths from dengue fever in the state.
Regarding Chikungunya fever, 13,894 probable cases of the disease have been registered, of which 10,634 have been confirmed, and there are five deaths under investigation. To date, there are three confirmed deaths from the disease in the state.
Lyme disease, antiphospholipid antibodies and the future of diagnostics?
Regarding the Zika virus, to date there are 35 probable cases and nine confirmed cases of the disease in the state. So far, there are no confirmed or suspected deaths.
Nationally, the Brazil Ministry of Health has reported more than 410,000 probable dengue cases and 246 deaths.
58,000 chikungunya cases have been reported across the country, including 47 deaths and 1,648 total Zika virus cases.
