Ontario

In 2025, a total of 1,453 measles cases (1,260 confirmed, 193 probable) have been reported in Ontario.

Quebec

40 confirmed cases of measles have been reported in Quebec.

Prince Edward Island

The Canadian government reports 2 on Prince Edward Island.

Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia has its first case of measles in 2025, found in Halifax Regional Municipality.

The case involves a Nova Scotian who travelled outside Canada. The person had received one dose of vaccine, but people generally need two to be fully vaccinated.

The last case in Nova Scotia was in 2023 and also travel-related.

Alberta

Alberta Health Services report 326 measles through May 9. The most cases are reported in the South Zone (200) and the Central Zone (86).

Manitoba

Manitoba Public Health reports 20 confirmed and 4 probable measles cases to date.

British Columbia

To date, eight measles cases have been reported in B.C. residents in 2025, in addition to one case diagnosed in a visitor to B.C. All of the measles cases to date have been travel related.

Saskatchewan

In Saskatchewan, 27 measles cases have been reported, nearly doubled from last week.

Northwest Territories

The Office of the Chief Public Health Officer has received notification of a confirmed case of measles in Yellowknife.
