Since the confirmation of the first cholera case in the Cacuaco Municipality of Luanda Province on January 7, Angola health officials report a total of 576 cases and 29 deaths. Luanda province is the most affected, with 416 cases.

The last cholera outbreak in Angola was in 2018, when 1,262 cases and 19 deaths were reported from Cabinda, Luanda and Uíge provinces.
