In an update on dengue fever in Argentina, the Argentina Ministry of Health reports 488,035 total dengue fever cases year to date, including 333 deaths.
The accumulated incidence so far in the season is 1,073 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The accumulated cases until EW 20 represent 3.35 times more than what was registered in the same period of the 2022/2023 season, and 8.12 times more than what was recorded in the same period of the 2019/2020 season.
So far this season, three serotypes have been identified circulating in the country-56.62% are DENV-2, 43.29% are DENV-1 and 0.09% are DENV-3.
180 cases of coinfection were detected the DENV-1 and DENV-2 serotypes.
