According to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Ministry of Health, the Ebola outbreak has resulted in 1,307 confirmed cases, including 377 deaths, for a case fatality rate of 28.8% as of June 29.
To date, 615 patients are in isolation or hospitalized, while 180 people have recovered since the start of the outbreak. The contact tracing rate stands at 81.3% in the three affected provinces.
23 affected health zones have been affected in Ituri province, the epicenter of the outbreak. In neighboring North Kivu province, 11 health zones were affected, while in South Kivu recorded three confirmed cases, one death, and only one affected health zone.

The government is calling on the population to respect barrier gestures on a daily basis, in particular by regularly washing their hands with soap or a chlorinated solution, avoiding unnecessary gatherings and limiting non-essential physical contact.
