Florida: Additional local dengue transmission in the Tampa Bay and Miami areas
Oropouche cases up to 32
Florida state health officials reported additional autochthonous dengue fever cases in Hillsborough County-1 (Tampa Bay area) and in Miami-Dade County -3 during the past week.
This brings the total of locally transmitted dengue cases in the state to 29-Hillsborough (3), Manatee, Miami-Dade (19), Monroe (3), Orange (2) and Pasco counties.
The vast majority of cases were serotyped as DENV-3 (22), while DENV-1 has also been detected (4).
Additionally, thirty-nine cases of dengue were reported this week in persons that had international travel, bringing the travel associated case total to 456 year to date.
Other arbovirus activity this past week include two additional travel associated Oropouche fever cases reported, bring the total this year to 32.

Cases were reported in the following counties- Broward, Duval, Hillsborough (5), Lee (2), Miami-Dade (15), Orange (2), Palm Beach (2), Pasco, Polk (2), and Sarasota. The country of origin for all 32 cases was Cuba.
