The Laos Ministry of Health’s Centre of Information and Education for Health reported yesterday the latest update on dengue fever in the country. According to the data, Laos has seen 20,115 total cases, including 11 deaths year to date.
The capital city of Vientiane leads all areas with 5,775 cases and three deaths. Luang Prabang province reported the most fatalities with four.
The health ministry urged people to remain vigilant and help control the spread of the mosquito-borne viral disease.
In addition, the ministry has called on health officials and medical staff across Laos to improve the management of dengue fever to prevent a serious outbreak.
