The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Namibia has released on 20 December 2024 a media statement reporting an outbreak of Malaria affecting six regions and 16 health districts of the country.
From 4 November, the start of the malaria transmission, to 15 December 2024, a total of 2,210 cases and nine deaths have been reported. There were 265 admissions and nine deaths on week 50 (ending 15 December). Enhana ( 30%) and Okongo (15%) districts are the districts reporting more cases.
