The Health Minister of Kerala state in southern India has confirmed one positive case of Nipah virus infection in Ramanattukara municipality, Kozhikode district.
The patient, who tested positive for Nipah, is currently hospitalized on a ventilator and has received one dose of monoclonal antibodies. After 48 hours, the medical board will assess the patient’s condition and administer the second dose of monoclonal antibodies.
