In Brazil, the Pernambuco State Health Department (SES-PE) released November 27 the new Epidemiological Bulletin of Arboviruses.
Data recorded between the weeks of December 31, 2023 to November 23, 2024.
The new survey indicates 30,267 probable cases of dengue fever (cases under investigation + confirmed cases) in the State.
The number of probable cases of dengue fever currently represents an increase of 314.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
To date, 11,779 cases of dengue have been confirmed in Pernambuco, of which 203 are probable serious cases. 12 dengue deaths have been recorded.
There were 4,764 probable cases of Chikungunya reported, including five deaths, with 1,546 confirmed cases. As for Zika, 246 probable cases were reported, but without confirmation to date.
Pernambuco has reported 169 confirmed cases of Oropouche Fever.
