On September 29, 2026, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Agusan del Sur officially declared a Province-Wide Dengue Outbreak due to the increasing number of dengue cases, hospitalizations, severe cases, and reported deaths in the province.
Officials reported 674 in just over seven months, with a surge of cases reported since August.
In coordination with DOH–CHD Caraga, local government units, health facilities, and partners, intensified dengue surveillance, case investigation, vector control, community mobilization, and risk communication activities are being implemented to strengthen our collective response.
Let us all do our part to prevent dengue! Follow the 4S Strategy:
Search and Destroy mosquito breeding sites
Secure Self-Protection measures against mosquito bites
Seek Early Consultation for warning signs and symptoms
Support Fogging/Spraying in identified hotspot areas when indicated
