In a follow-up on the dengue fever situation in Quezon City, dengue cases in Quezon City have reached 6,981 from January 1 to August 20, 2025. District 2 recorded its highest case with 2,038 (29%) and twenty-three (23) reported deaths due to dengue across the city. According to officials, the 6,981 cases reported is an 155% increase compared to last year.
Almost half of the cases involve children 10 years old and below at 3,407. Those aged 11 to 20—bulk of which are made up of adolescents and young adults—followed with 1,957 cases. Individuals aged 21 to 30 logged 750 cases, while those 31 years old and above had 758.

The Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division (QCESD) notes even if Dengue cases have dropped, Adequate Precautions Should Still Be Taken.
- Do the Search and Destroy and Clean-Up Drive regularly.
- Cover drums or water tanks, buckets, and any containers that can store water and mosquito nets.
- Self Protection Measures. Protect yourself against mosquitoes by wearing long sleeves and pants, using a sleeping mosquito spray or mosquito repellant.
- CONSULT the nearest health center IMMEDIATELY if you have symptoms of dengue such as fever, headache and stomach ache, for appropriate and prompt care. Free Dengue tests and Check-ups are still available at Health Centers.
