Rwanda reports 1st Marburg Virus Disease case in nine days

For the first time since October 14, the Rwanda Ministry of Health reports an additional confirmed case of Marburg Virus Disease (MVD).

According to Minister of Health, Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, the new case is a doctor who had been treating Marburg patients since the beginning of the outbreak. He is receiving attention and we wish him a speedy recovery, he said.

This brings the outbreak total to 63 confirmed cases and 15 deaths.
