According to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), 5,228 dengue fever cases have been reported, including 1,430 dengue fever cases in the city over the past week.
Binh Hung Hoa, Tay Nam and An Nhon Tay are the wards and communes reporting incidence rates exceeding 100 cases per 100,000 people.
Cumulatively, 184,903 dengue cases and 43 deaths were recorded in Vietnam in 2025, marking a 28.4% increase compared with the same period of 2024, with 14 additional deaths.
Vietnam is one of 11 countries the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) list on their latest Global Dengue travel notice published this week as reporting higher than usual numbers of cases.
