In a follow-up on the dengue fever outbreak in Quezon City, Philippines, the city’s Epidemiology & Surveillance Division (QCESD) now reports 3,234 cases, a 298-percent increase in the total number of dengue cases, from 857 in the same period last year.
In addition, the dengue death toll has risen to 12 year to date. The QCESD said 10 of the 12 fatalities were minors aged 17 years and below.
This is 500% higher from two (2) cases of deaths during the same period in 2024
The public, especially the parents are still encouraged to observe the child's symptoms and immediately consult a doctor or health center for faster diagnosis of the disease and appropriate treatment. Free check-up and dengue testing in health centers in Quezon City.

Amidst the hot weather, the Disease Surveillance Officers in different barangays in the city continue their mission in conducting case investigation and finding new cases of dengue.
Door-to-door in blocks and alleys to look for individuals experiencing dengue symptoms such as fever, headache and stomach aches, and rashes. In District 5, the Surveillance Officers went to Petronia and Tupaz St. in Brgy. Novaliches Proper, Nomar Subdivision in Brgy. San Bartolome, Sarmiento St. in Brgy. Sta. Monica, Osorio Ville and Laurel St. in Brgy. St Augustine, T. Alozo St. and Visayas St. in Brgy. Sta. Lucia.
Immediately advised to go to the health center for free dengue test and check-up.
