Dengue fever
Dengue cases in Quezon City have reached 5,399 from January 1 to June 26, 2025. District 2 recorded its highest cases with 1,531 (28%) and sixteen reported deaths due to dengue across the city.
Among the 16 fatalities, 12 were females aged nine months to 35 years old.
The fatalities were from Bagong Silangan, Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Fairview, Payatas B and Tandang Sora.
The most affected was the 11-20 age group, with six deaths recorded.
Health officials advises the public to take the following precautions:
Do the Search and Destroy and Clean-Up Drive regularly.
- Cover drums or water tanks, buckets, and any containers that can store water and mosquito nets.
- Self Protection Measures. Protect yourself against mosquitoes by wearing long sleeves and pants, using a sleeping mosquito spray or mosquito repellant.
- CONSULT the nearest health center IMMEDIATELY if you have symptoms of dengue such as fever, headache and stomach ache, for appropriate and prompt care. Free Dengue tests and Check-ups are still available at Health Centers.

Leptospirosis
The total cases of leptospirosis in Quezon City have reached 66 from January 1 to June 26, 2025. In total, 52 (79%) are men and 12 (18%) are women. 12 deaths from leptospirosis were also recorded.
Although the rainy season has not yet begun where the cases of this disease are rising, the public is still being reminded of appropriate precautions.
Do not float, swim, or splash in flood water
Use flood protections such as boots and gloves
Keep the environment clean to eliminate dirt and urine of rats and other animals
If you accidentally drown in flood water, consult the health center immediately to reset doxycycline as prevention of leptospirosis
